Mikiya Akutsu made a frown face as he was cleaning is golf shoes. He was deeply not satisfied with his finish at solo 3rd.

"I have fashionably coordinated my shoes and my outfit today, all in pink and green as they are the tournament theme colors. I thought this outfit will go well with the Champion's jacket, but no one seems to have noticed my fashion today."

Mikiya lost his chance to show off his fashion sense by not being able to wear the Champion jacket. He started off 1 group prior to the final group.
"It was really rough playing in the gusty wind. I just couldn't find the greens on my front nine. As I was struggling, bogey came first on the 3rd. Then not being able to bounce back, I went on making another bogey on 10th. I saw the final group making a dead heat battle, and I felt completely left out from the contention."

"But my caddy told me not to let the chances go. With that encouragement, I was able to make 3 birdies to give myself at least a chance for the victory. But as started to think about winning, pressure came upon me and made myself nervous. I couldn't control my mentality and couldn't perform the way I wished on the critical moments."

As Mikiya recalled he had good chances from 14th and on. He even had an 8-meter eagle chance on 17th, but his first putt was 1-meter short. He did make the birdie putt, but it wasn't enough to catch up.

"I have learned a lot today. How I should face the pressure and controlling it is my most needed strategy."

As he was finishing wiping his golf shoes, he looked up to the camera and said, "I am regretful that I couldn't win this week, but I am glad to have learned so much on this season restarting event. I wish to win soon and get my ticket back into the season finale JT Cup."

May be soon, we might be able to see his perfect winner's fashion coordination.
